The ifs research workshop series provides an opportunity to keep up to date with topical issues in the financial services industry.

All members of our Academic Community are welcome to participate, as well as external representatives from other institutions.

Morten Flate Paulsen, Professor of Online Education, Director of Development, NKI Distance Education (Norway)

Professor Jonathan Kydd, Dean, of the University of London External System

Rosie Gosling, Director, LSE External Studies

Participants will have presentations from academic leaders in the field of large-scale distance and e-learning. Professor Morten Paulsen was involved in delivering one of the first online programmes at the Norway Knowledge Institute (NKI) in 1986. More recently he has been heading a project researching European global mega providers, which has identified key factors of their success. Professor Jonathan Kydd, recently appointed the Dean of the University of London External System, will outline the strategic direction of the External System, drawing on the key strengths and challenges of the System, which is celebrating 150 successful years of delivery to international markets.
